Driver Linux Installation

A step-by-step Linux guide to install the Hyper Driver


Allows Hyper Smart Card racks to be used with existing applications by replacing Linux’s PCSC driver with our proprietary Hyper Driver.

1. Install

Minimum Glibc 2.35

Debian 12+ or Ubuntu 22.04+ satisfies this requirement.

If you need support for an older system see Legacy Driver

  1. With the Hyper Card Rack plugged in, turn on Linux system and open a terminal via SSH.

  2. Enter the following command to install or download the script separately to verify.

wget -O - https://lisledesign.com/downloads/drivers/hyper/install.sh | sudo bash

Uninstall

To uninstall use the command:
sudo apt install libpcsclite1 hypercard-driver-

To avoid issues with your system.


2. Test

  1. To test the driver has been installed correctly, insert a card into the rack and run the pcsc_scan utility:

pcsc_scan

  1. If the driver has been successfully installed, you should see the detection of the readers and the card details:
