User Guide

This User Guide explains how to set up and use the Digidown Plus to download digital tachograph vehicle unit (VU) and tachograph card data

Overview

Digidown Plus is a Digital Tachograph Download Device that allows you to:

  • Download Vehicle Unit (VU) data from a digital tachograph

  • Download a Driver card via the tachograph

  • Download a tachograph card directly into the device

  • Transfer files to your computer

Before First Use

  1. Insert the SD card into the side slot until it clicks. The notched corner should go in first and point toward the bottom of the device.

  2. Slide the back cover open and insert the 2xAA batteries.

Replacing the SD Card
If you ever need to replace the SD card, get in touch with us. Digidown Plus requires them to be 2GB or smaller and formatted as FAT -not FAT32- and they are hard to come by.

Download from a tachograph (VU)

  1. Make sure an approptiate card is insterted (Company, Workshop or Control card) into the tachograph (slot 2).

  4. Check that the LEDs briefly blink in sequence.  This means the device is ready.

  5. Press the appropriate download button:

    3. CARD → for a Driver card inserted in the tachograph (slot 1) download

  6. Check that the relevant LED is flashing 2 per sec. This indicates the download has started.

You can transfer the downloaded files in two ways:
