2005 - Generation 1 digital tachographs introduced
2019 - Generation 2 Version 1 (Gen2v1 / Smart1)
2023 - Generation 2 Version 2 (Gen2v2 / Smart2)
1. Check your Digidown
Check the unit's serial number, found on the back of the device:

2. Update your Digidown
You'll only need the unit, a computer running Windows and the USB cable that came with the unit. Follow these steps:
Download the Digidown Update Utility:
Unzip the downloaded file.
Double click to run the unzipped file.
Follow the instructions on screen.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any problems, try:
Before running the unzipped file, disable your antivirus (typically achieved by right-clicking the antivirus icon on the tray and selecting the Disable option.
Running the unzipped file as an adminisrator (by right-clicking the file and selecting 'Run as administrator').
